Marcus Rashford responds with five words to Ruben Amorim’s bold dig at Man Utd star
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim delivered a sharp critique of Marcus Rashford after the Red Devils’ narrow 1-0 victory over Fulham, prompting the forward to break his silence on social media.
Amorim criticized Rashford’s commitment, saying he would rather use his 63-year-old goalkeeper coach, Jorge Vital, than a player who doesn’t give maximum effort daily. “It’s always the same reason—the training. The way I see what a footballer should do in training, in life, every day. If things don’t change, I will not change,” Amorim stated when asked about Rashford’s exclusion.
Rashford, who hasn’t featured in United’s last 11 matches since being dropped for the Manchester derby, responded indirectly on Instagram, writing, “Congratulations on the win lads.”
Previously, Rashford hinted at his readiness to leave Old Trafford, saying in an interview, “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge. When I leave, it’ll be no hard feelings.” He emphasized his intention to depart amicably, avoiding any public negativity toward the club.
Rashford has been linked with a potential loan move to Barcelona, though it remains uncertain whether the deal will materialize before the January transfer window closes. When asked if Rashford could rejoin the squad, Amorim responded, “I don’t know.”
