The statistics that led to Cooper losing his job

Leicester City have had no trouble finding the net in their Premier League return, scoring at least once in each of their first 10 league matches.

However, under Steve Cooper, the Foxes have managed only two wins, as defensive frailties have overshadowed their attacking efficiency.

Leicester have conceded 23 goals this season, the third most in the league, trailing only Wolverhampton Wanderers (28) and Southampton (24). They’ve also allowed the opening goal in 10 of their 12 matches—a league-high—and have faced the second-most opposition shots. Despite their early scoring streak, Leicester have recorded the second-fewest shots in the division, ahead of only Ipswich.
