Pereira agrees to 18-month deal with Wolves.
Former Porto manager Vitor Pereira has agreed to an 18-month contract to become Wolves’ new head coach.
The Premier League side is paying around 1 million euros to bring Pereira, currently with Al-Shabab, to the Midlands.
Pereira, who won two league titles with Porto in 2011 and 2012, was scheduled to travel to England on Tuesday, with his appointment potentially being confirmed at Molineux later that evening, barring any last-minute issues. Negotiations have progressed smoothly.
The 56-year-old’s first match in charge will be against Leicester on Sunday, with Wolves currently second from bottom, five points behind the 17th-placed Foxes.
Wolves have lost 11 of their 16 games this season and parted ways with head coach Gary O’Neil on Sunday following a 2-1 defeat to struggling Ipswich.
