Lewandowski Sets Unique Champions League Record Unmatched by Messi or Ronaldo

At 36, Robert Lewandowski continues to defy age and expectations, setting a Champions League milestone even legends like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo haven’t reached. The prolific Polish striker has now scored 40+ goals in a season for the eighth time in his illustrious career, including 11 goals in just 11 European appearances this campaign.

In doing so, Lewandowski has become the first player in Champions League history to score 10 or more goals in a single season for three different clubs—starting with Borussia Dortmund in 2012-13, then achieving the feat twice with Bayern Munich.

A Champions League winner with Bayern in 2019-20, Lewandowski is now aiming to add another European crown with Barcelona, who remain contenders in both La Liga and the Copa del Rey as the season nears its climax.
