Kevin Danso Transfer: Tottenham Secure Loan Deal for Lens Defender, Beating Wolves to Austria International

Tottenham Sign Kevin Danso on Loan After Beating Wolves to Austria International

Wolves had been in advanced talks to sign Lens defender Kevin Danso, even scheduling a medical for the 26-year-old on Sunday morning. However, Tottenham swooped in late, convincing the Austrian international to move to north London instead.

Spurs have confirmed the loan signing of Danso until the end of the season, with an obligation to make the transfer permanent in the summer.

Wolves had pursued Danso throughout the January transfer window but were informed following their 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday that the player had opted for a move to Tottenham.

The late acquisition comes as Spurs bolster their defensive options amid injury concerns. Radu Dragusin remains sidelined after picking up a knock in the Europa League victory over Elfsborg, while Cristian Romero is also out, and Micky van de Ven has only recently returned to action.
