Alex Iwobi surpassed Nwankwo Kanu’s Premier League assist record after helping Fulham defeat Newcastle United 3-1 at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Iwobi set up former Arsenal forward Emile Smith Rowe for Fulham’s second goal against the Magpies.

He made his Premier League debut four days later in a 3–0 win against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, as a stoppage time substitute for Mesut Özil and made his Champions League debut as an 85th-minute substitute in a 5–1 defeat against Bayern Munich.
He was part of the Arsenal side that won the FA Cup in 2017 and also won the Community Shield in 2015 and 2017.
He scored Arsenal’s goal in their 4-1 defeat to Chelsea in the final of the Europa League in 2019.
