Flick: Barcelona poised for silverware battle on three fronts

Flick: Barcelona poised for silverware battle on three fronts.

Hansi Flick says Barcelona are prepared for the “great challenge” of competing for trophies on three fronts for the rest of the season.

The Blaugrana are currently three points clear at the top of LaLiga with 10 games remaining, starting with a clash against Girona on Sunday. This marks the beginning of a demanding stretch, with six matches in 17 days across all competitions, including the Copa del Rey semifinal second leg against Atletico Madrid midweek.

A Champions League quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund is also on the horizon, following Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Osasuna on Thursday, their first match after the international break.

Flick acknowledges the intense schedule will be a tough test for his players, but he has urged them to rise to the occasion.

“You never really know how much recovery time you’ll get, even if you have one or two extra days,” Flick said in his pre-match press conference. “It will certainly be a great challenge until the end of the season, but we’re ready and eager to fight until the very last moment.”

“We’re all very proud of the performance against Osasuna, but my focus is on the next game. We have a lot of matches ahead—10 left in LaLiga—and it’s crucial to take it one game at a time. As the season progresses, it will get shorter and more difficult for the other teams.”
