Carlo Ancelotti Reaches Agreement Amid Final Decision on Real Madrid Future.

Carlo Ancelotti Set to Leave Real Madrid Amid Reports of Brazil Appointment

Carlo Ancelotti, currently in his second stint as Real Madrid manager since rejoining the club in 2021, is reportedly set to depart in the coming weeks amid strong interest from the Brazil national team.

According to emerging reports, Ancelotti is expected to become the new head coach of Brazil, following mounting speculation about his future—intensified by Real Madrid’s recent Champions League elimination at the hands of Arsenal.

The 65-year-old Italian, widely regarded as one of the most successful managers in modern football, has experienced notable achievements during his return to the Bernabéu. However, with Real Madrid now out of Europe and trailing Barcelona in the La Liga title race, the current campaign has fallen short of expectations for last season’s Champions League winners.

When recently asked about rumors linking him to the Brazil job, Ancelotti remained tight-lipped, declining to confirm whether he would remain with the club through to the FIFA Club World Cup in June.

However, multiple sources now claim that Ancelotti is set to step down from his role at Real Madrid imminently to take over as Brazil’s national team manager.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has long considered Ancelotti its top candidate to succeed Dorival Júnior. Notably, Brazilian businessman Diego Fernandes—who has reportedly been involved in negotiations on behalf of the CBF—was seen attending Real Madrid’s recent Copa del Rey final defeat to Barcelona.

While the CBF initially aimed to appoint Ancelotti last summer ahead of the Copa América, the veteran coach chose to remain in Madrid at the time. Now, according to reports from Europe, an agreement has finally been reached.
