Aston Martin Unveils AMR25 Ahead of 2025 Formula 1 Season
Aston Martin has officially revealed the AMR25, their 2025 Formula 1 challenger, ahead of its track debut in Bahrain on Monday.
The team, which secured fifth place in the 2024 Constructors’ Championship, showcased the car’s new livery at F1 75 Live in London on Tuesday and has now released full specifications. According to Aston Martin, 90% of the car’s aerodynamic surfaces have been redesigned, with a key focus on improving “driveability” for drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.
Team principal Andy Cowell emphasized the team’s efforts to enhance performance, stating:
“For this year’s car, we’ve really taken on board the lessons and feedback from last season. We’ve focused on creating a more driveable car for Lance and Fernando and have worked hard to make it more predictable. We expect a tight and competitive field from the start in Australia, so we know it won’t be easy.”
Aston Martin aims to make continuous improvements as they prepare for the major regulation changes coming in 2026.
The AMR25 will hit the track for the first time on Monday in Bahrain for a shakedown session, ahead of three days of pre-season testing beginning Wednesday.
Fernando Alonso expressed confidence in the team’s progress, saying:
“We learned a lot in 2024, and the team has used that knowledge as motivation heading into this season. Competition will be fierce in this final year under the current regulations, but I know the team has been working hard to ensure we are ready. I’m excited to get back on track and help strengthen the team as we continue this journey.”
Fans can watch the F1 pre-season testing live on Sky Sports F1 from February 26-28.
