Arsenal netted two stoppage-time goals to secure a thrilling win over Leicester.
A Wilfred Ndidi own goal in the 94th minute and a close-range strike from Kai Havertz deep into stoppage time snatched victory from Leicester, who were on the verge of securing an unlikely point at the Emirates after battling back from a two-goal deficit.
Gabriel Martinelli had put the dominant Gunners ahead in the first half, converting Jurrien Timber’s cross, before setting up Leandro Trossard for a second goal just before halftime.
Leicester had barely threatened, with only one touch in Arsenal’s box before the break, but they quickly pulled one back just over a minute into the second half when James Justin’s header, from Facundo Buonanotte’s free-kick, deflected off Havertz and into the net.
Justin then spectacularly leveled the match, volleying in Ndidi’s cross via the post just after the hour mark.
Despite Leicester’s comeback, Arsenal regained control, with Mads Hermansen making two outstanding saves—denying Havertz from close range and then blocking Trossard’s shot after a defensive error.
Trossard’s late attempt was deflected past Hermansen by Ndidi, and moments later, Havertz sealed the win with a close-range finish.
The victory moves Arsenal level on points with Manchester City, though Liverpool could surpass them both if they beat Wolves in the late game at Molineux.
