AfroBasket 2025: D’Tigress Placed in Group D with Mozambique and Rwanda.

Defending Champions D’Tigress Drawn with Mozambique, Rwanda in AfroBasket 2025 Group D

Reigning champions D’Tigress of Nigeria have been placed in Group D of the 2025 Women’s AfroBasket Championship alongside Mozambique and Rwanda.

Under the guidance of head coach Rena Wakama, the Nigerian team will be aiming to secure a record-extending seventh title at the tournament, which will be hosted in Côte d’Ivoire.

Fresh off an inspiring quarter-final run at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, D’Tigress will be looking to carry that momentum into the continental showdown.

Hosts Côte d’Ivoire are in Group A, where they will compete against African heavyweights Angola and Egypt.

Group B features Mali, Cameroon, and South Sudan, while Senegal, Uganda, and Guinea have been drawn in Group C.

The 2025 AfroBasket Championship is scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 3, with all matches set to be played at the Palais des Sports de Treichville.
