2026 WCQ: Zimbabwe President Offers $150,000 Reward to Warriors for Victory Over Super Eagles.
Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa has offered a $150,000 reward to the Warriors if they defeat Nigeria in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The pledge was made public in a statement by Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) president Nqobile Magwizi.
The Warriors are aiming to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in their history.
Under coach Michael Nees, Zimbabwe currently sits at the bottom of Group C with two points from four matches.
They will face Benin Republic’s Cheetahs at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Thursday (today) before traveling to Uyo to take on the Super Eagles at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium next Tuesday.
